WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR

A Walk-in-interview will be held at the Conference Hal! of the Tripura Veterinary Council. Astabal, Agartala on 15/11/2022 at 10:00 am for recruitment to the 17 posts of Professor in the 17 Departments of the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, R.K.Nagar, West Tripura, Tripura under the Animal Resources Development Department, Govt of Tripura on consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 1,15,000/- only purely on contractual basis for a period of one year.

The eligibility criteria for the post:

  1. The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  2. The candidate should be registered under the State Veterinary Council or Veterinary

Council of India.

  1. Maximum age limit of the candidate is 68 years as on 30.09.2022.

The interested eligible applicants are requested to appear before the interview Board on the stipulated date & time mentioned above along with all necessary documents in original and self attested photocopics.

Guidelines for recruitment of Professors on contractual basis in the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, R.K. Nagar, West Tripura, Tripura under the Animal Resources

  1. Eligibility criteria:

Essential criteria

Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized University. b) Master's degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where grading system is followed) in the relevant subject. A relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%) marks at Master's degree level for the SC/ST and differently abled

category candidates. C) Doctoral degree in the relevant subject. A relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50% ) marks to the Ph.D. degree holders at Master's degree level who have passed their Master's degree prior to

19th September, 1991.

d) At least 10 years experience in teaching/research/ extension education in the Agricultural University with at least 5 years experience as Associate Professor.

e) Evidence of contribution in research teaching/ extension education as supported by published work/innovations. Desirable criteria:

a) Experience of teaching and guiding Post-graduate students.

  1. The filled applications along with API score sheet as per Table- 2 (Methodology for University and College Teachers for calculating Academic/Research Score) (as per latest UGC Guidelines, 2018) and all other relevant documents (regarding qualification/ experience/citizenship/PRC and age proof certificate) should be produced in original and self attested photocopy at the time of interview.
  2. Experience Certificates, wherever necessary, shall have to be issued by the competent authority of the Department/Institutions/ faculty etc, as the case may be. 4. Reservation: As per State Government rules,

Procedure for conducting Walk-in.Interview:

  1. The intending candidates should bring & produce the application Form, addressing to the Director, ARDD, Tripura as per prescribed Form, duly filled in (See ardd.tripura.gov.in website) along with all necessary testimonials in original and self attested photocopies as mentioned below at the time of appearing interview board.

Selection Process:

  1. The Selection will be made on the basis of merits of the candidates, based on the following parametres

a) Academic Performance Index (API) of the candidate (85% Marks)

b) Personal Interview test of the candidates (15% Marks)

  1. The Merit list will be made according to the merit on the basis of marks obtained after totaling marks

scored in API & marks obtained in personal interview by a candidate.

  1. In the recommendation list, merit position of the candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age and in case of candidates securing equal marks in aggregate and also of the same age will be decided on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the minimum educational qualification prescribed. The same procedure is to be followed for preparing waiting list of candidates, if there be any.
  2. The decision of the Recruitment Board shall be considered final in making the merit list of the candidates, based on the criteria of selection.
  3. The candidates will be selected by the authority from the merit list.
  4. The candidates who are selected for appointment only be informed. 7. One month notice from either side for termination or resignation from the service is mandatory.
  5. Advertisement for Walk-In-Interview will be in local daily, wide circulated newspaper through the PO (ICAT), ardd.tripura.gov.in website through the IT Cell, ARDD.

To make the merit list of the candidates, appeared in the interview, a Recruitment (Interview) Board will be constituted to select the candidates for appointment to the post of Professor on contractual basis
