There are tons of mobile application in Google Play Store for our day to day usage. But there are even more websites that you may need to check out. So what to do when a website don't have a mobile application or android app ?
Like most of the government departments, college, university don't have apps for ease of access but rarely any of them don't have website.
Now question is:
How we can convert any website to app for free ?
What is difference between and mobile application and website.
App usually get installed into our mobile phone and have a dedicated icon to open the app and use the services. They can store your login and allow easy access to whole set of information. But now a days mobile browser are even smarter and offer these like saving your username and password for easy login and even allow offline storage in browser. So only thing left is dedicated app icon on our mobile home screen for fast access.

There are some simple steps you need to follow to use any website as mobile app.
We have one assumption that websites have mobile friendly user interface (UI).
1. Chrome is by default browser in all android mobile phone. So we will be using that to open any website. Once website is opened, it will look like the image shown below.
2. Next click on the three dots icon on top right corner as marked by red arrow in image below.

3. Click on Add to Home screen marked in white rectangle in photo below.

4. Click Add.

5. Finally click Add to Home screen automatically or touch and hold the icon to place anywhere on your home screen as shown in image below.

Now you are ready to use the website with dedicated icon on home screen, so you don't need to type in the url wish to see and for login purpose use the browser option to save the password.
    
It is not recommended to use this save passwords option for websites that are related to financial services like your banking sites, insurance login, investment site or where ever security is more concerned.
