Education and other qualifications

Essential: (i) Master Degree in Social Sciences from a recognized University (ii) 15 years administrative experience in Government/Autonomous Organizations/Reputed Non-Government Organizations (i) Acquaintance with Gandhian philosophy and commitment for constructive work in various social fields.

Desirable

"Experience of working at the national level in the social sector in projects and porgrammes similar to those undertaken by GSDS and/or having authored publications, based on original research, in reputed national/international journals on Gandhi an Studies/Philosophy and related areas. Note: The educational and other qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Appointing Authority in the case of candidates otherwise found suitable. Method of recruitment - Direct recruitment including short term contract, failing which by deputation.

General Information

i) Candidates who fulfill the prescribed qualifications, experience, age requirement and other eligibility conditions as on closing date of receipt of may apply giving full particulars including date of birth, educational qualifications, specialized knowledge and experience supported by copies of all relevant certificates and a passport-size photograph, all duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. The candidates may mention the names of three references, at least two out of which should be present/previous employers. ) Candidates who are already in Government service and fulfill the eligibility conditions can also apply for the said post. They may send their applications through proper channel along with integrity Certificate and ACR Grading for the last five years. .) The Special Selection Committee will screen all the applications and candidates found most suitable for the post in-terms of qualifications, age, experience, etc. and they would be called for being interviewed before the Selection/Promotion Committee.

iv) The eligible candidates who are required to appear for an interview before the Selection Board will not paid any TA/DA/

vi) The applicant should clearly mention on the application form as well as on the envelope whether he/she is applying for direct recruitment or short term contract or deputation.
